We saw the sign

Reported by the Key West Citizen

KEY WEST — For the past few months, Key West Police officers have been taking notes about a winged heart emblem that's been appearing on street signs around town.

According to reports, the graffiti was noticed by officers on a pole and a stop sign at the 200 block of Petronia Street and on a control box in Bayview Park. The emblem is described as a heart with wings and a five point star in the background. Reports state that the symbol has appeared throughout Key West accompanied by the word "love" or "King".

Photos were taken by officers at the corner of Florida Street and Truman Avenue, where the emblem contained the phrase, "lov is king."

Anyone with information regarding the unwelcome art, should contact the Key West Police Department.

We here at the Coffee Plantation have seen that art...
